The Everpure filter with pre-coat technology can only work in a vertical position. In fact, the carbon dust tends to settle on the bottom and the jet of water entering the filter, in striking the bottom, sets the dust in motion, giving filtration effectiveness over time. If lying down, the dust settles on one side forever.

Excellent cartridge for drinking water treatment, based on pre-coat technology, i.e. 0.2 micron (0.2 millionth of a metre) fine membrane on which a high quality activated carbon powder is deposited.
The Everpure AC2 cartridge has the special feature of microfiltrating dirt and particles, reducing asbestos fibres and parasites, cysts and reduces pseudomonas by 99.999%.
The cartridge is used in many domestic cold and sparkling water dispensers.
All Everpure cartridges with Pre-Coat technology only work in the upright position, if lying down they lose their effectiveness
All Everpure cartridges have no expiry date, they must be stored in a dry place away from heat sources [...].
